Ant Trap

Ant Trap

This is an ant trap for the tiny house ants. Place a pea-sized drop of honey and an equal amount in borax in the center of the trap body, then mix them together thoroughly. Tighten the lid securely after this process. Position the container with its lid facing upwards near where the ants tend to walk. You can also add a small dab of honey on one of the openings to entice the ants inside the container. Within 12-24 hours, a large crowd of ants should start to gather around the container. Once they have accumulated in such numbers, they will be gone soon after. If the ants prefer walking along walls, you can simply screw the container directly into the wall for easier access. To prevent honey from leaking out, apply some scotch tape inside and position the container so that its small bump on the side aligns properly. I've designed a second container with features that make it simpler to attach securely to the wall while also preventing spills of honey from occurring.
