This two-part structure features a volcano-shaped ant poison dispenser with a crater filling and tunnels for ant entry. The lid, complete with a centering stem, protects against rain. To assemble, fill the crater with 10 drops of liquid ant poison, then cap it. Despite its sloping, stepped design, some heavy rain may seep in, potentially benefiting the ants. To create your ant poison, mix borax, sugar and boiling water, followed by honey or treacle. Introduce attractants to draw more ants before deploying the poison for maximum effect on the queen and grubs.
