Ant nest - ants nest (ants nest)

I designed this nesting area with ants in mind, making it a fun and functional space. Its benefits include: it can be connected to a drainage system (outlet diameter 13mm; a piece of aquarium filtration hose works well); It sits on a stand that serves as a water reservoir, maintaining a comfortable humidity level. To achieve this, you'll need to add cotton to the humidification chamber (see photo), along with a piece of wool that runs from the cotton to the water tank (the water rises through capillary action from the tank to the humidification chamber). Self-sufficiency: 1 to 3 months. First, place the plexiglass pane (10*15cm) in its designated spot to locate the threaded holes. Then, drill the plexiglass plate at those points. Next, secure the glass with screws (file screw). Once assembled, you can place it on its stand. Fill the stand with water, and use a plug to seal the opening. To get started, you'll need: a transparent plexiglass pane, 1-2mm thick (10*15cm) a piece of cotton a piece of wool (5 cm) two pieces of filter grid, preferably made from stainless steel (mesh size 50). These can be easily found online for €3. A grid prevents ants from escaping through the top while allowing good ventilation and humidity regulation. The second grid protects the cotton from ant attacks.
