People often say "Low-res", meaning something has a bad resolution. For example: You were trying to view a movie online and it had low-resolution so you couldn't make out what was going on in some parts of the scene. In video games or PC graphics, "low res" also means the resolution is set too low. The resolution determines how detailed things appear.
