Ant Moat for Furniture (Stops Ants)
thingiverse
This is a straightforward yet practical design for elevating an object or piece of furniture that can keep ants at bay. To create this solution, you print out 3+ units, fill the moat with diatomaceous earth - easily accessible at any hardware store or online - and use them as makeshift stilts for whatever task requires it. I required these to isolate several terrariums housing my pets when we experienced a brief ant infestation. As I didn't want lizards consuming ants, or bugs getting killed by ants, I printed out 3 units per terrarium and positioned them underneath with D.E., being cautious not to spill the D.E. anywhere inside or on the terrariums. They have been completely effective on all instances where I used them.
