I'm creating a unique Formicarium with a 1 cm input slot specifically designed to accommodate test tubes, allowing for seamless transfer of queens from test tube setups at the outset of colony life. This feature can be easily replaced with an exit leading to the outside world. A sponge is necessary to position between the ants and the reservoir to maintain optimal water levels. The first section will serve as a food area. Unfortunately, I haven't created a lid yet; however, I may craft some plugs for the opening in the future. Typically, I use cotton to seal it instead.
