Ant Arena
thingiverse
This is a Miniature Ant Arena designed for young ant colonies that thrive in test tubes. The arena is encased in transparent acrylic glass, providing an unobstructed view of the ants' activities. This particular design is larger than usual because it utilizes 120x150mm acrylic sheets that I happened to have on hand. If you like this version and would like to adapt it for use with a different size acrylic sheet, feel free to ask and I'll be happy to modify and re-upload the file. There are two holes on each side of the arena, measuring 13.5mm in diameter, which allow for easy connection of tubes or TestTubeExtenders. These extenders come in diameters of 18mm and 15.5mm. At the rear of the arena, there are two additional holes with a diameter of 15.5mm, primarily intended for test tube insertion. A small food compartment is also included, which can be sealed when not in use. I'd be happy to modify the hole sizes to suit your specific needs upon request. Just let me know! UPDATE: I've added a stacking stand feature to save space, as shown in the accompanying images. To assemble the stand, you'll need to print four "StackickStand_Gluepart.stl" files and attach them using glue. Non-printable materials required for assembly include: Screws: M2x5 screws are needed to secure the lid and fix the acrylic glass in place.
With this file you will be able to print Ant Arena with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Ant Arena.
