Ansmann Mad Rat RC Front Suspension Arm - .igs .stp .stl .model
thingiverse
Here is a revised version of this design incorporating the improvements based on experience with previous versions, making it ready to handle harsh jumps without damage. This upgrade for the front suspension arm features robust dimensions, drawing heavily from the original's specs but beefed up where past experiences showed those sections prone to breakage (mine have been shattered by particularly aggressive landings in jumps). The current iteration is right-handed and print-ready, allowing left-hand prints via simple software flipping or CAD manipulation. Considering varying printer quality, interfaces may require smoothing out for optimal fit. I opted for snugness rather than sacrificing thickness to accommodate high-fidelity prints. Three revisions of the original are behind this evolved suspension arm design; you'll note additional reinforcements, including varying heights, crafted with free movement in mind to optimize overall range and functionality. Rigorous testing using PLA proved this model fits the Mad Rat RC car with precision (though specific fit on other models can't be confirmed). Its capacity for high jumps, pavement, and rugged surfaces was impressive during field testing. For further reading and analysis, check my blog at: http://ponetelaspiletas.blogspot.com
