This fastener design is suitable for certain materials and functions similarly to a nail, but with an ANSI threaded top. By forcing the barb into the material, counter-barbs ensure secure placement, allowing you to attach a threaded fastener on top. However, the main shaft could be thicker. As a conceptual design, this can be printed, though the tip may require machining post-printing. For printing, I suggest scaling by 3x. Upon refinement, the design has been scaled proportionally for realistic size and improved printability on a 1:1 scale. If you choose to print it, please share your results! In version three, an attempt was made to incorporate a cutting tip, similar to traditional nails, though printing success is uncertain.
