Another Yard Windmill / Spinner

Another Yard Windmill / Spinner

thingiverse

My fifth yard spinner. When I went to Walmart, they had .310 diameter shafts in stock this time, so that's the hole size. It doesn't have to have a tail, but I wanted this one to be a wind vane too. If you don't want the tail, you can skip the end. You need a long washer between the hub and the base for enough room between the CDs and the pole. The short washer is glued to the end to keep everything together. Like my other designs, I drill and pin everything with 4d finish nails. You don't have to, but I'd rather not think about a CD flying off in strong winds, that's just me. So, if you want to make it exactly like this picture, you need to 3D Print: 1 Base 1 Hub 1 End 1 Long Washer 1 Short Washer You also need: 10 CDs (or DVDs) 2 Arrow Shafts (about two bucks each at Walmart) 12 4d Finish Nails Hot Melt Glue (to cover over the 4d finish nails)
