Operation: A web server makes API calls to fetch Google calendars from 3D printers. The various displays update their calendars every 10 seconds by retrieving the latest calendar data from this server and displaying it. The display also checks the temperature near the print head to determine if the printer is currently printing. Based on this information, the display can flash different colors of LEDs to indicate whether the printer is hot or in use. Conversely, the LEDs will blink to signal that a time slot has been reserved but no printing is underway. Components Used: 1 x Wemos D1 mini 1 x 2.9" e-paper screen from waveshare with an SPI module DESTM32-S2 (older version) 2 x JST Micro Connectors 1.25 Screen Wiring Diagram: BUSY -> D2 RST -> D4 DC -> D3 CS -> D8 CLK -> D5 DIN -> D7 GND -> GND 3.3V -> 3.3V LED -> D6 DS18B20 -> D1 The single LED is attached to the screen above, serving as a status indicator. The subsequent LEDs pass through the JST Micro Connector 1.25 at the bottom. The DS18B20 temperature sensor is connected to the top JST Micro Connector 1.25.
