Another Spring - Spring Thing 1.1
thingiverse
Another robust spring design that compresses smoothly. Its layout is loosely inspired by the spring found in a clip of my trusty 30-06 rifle. The solid model provided can be easily modified if needed or desired. This spring design is part of a larger cordless drill alignment tool, which will be released soon. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 200 Infill: .10 Notes: To optimize the spring's strength, set the perimeter to three lines, although two lines might also work. This allows the spring to pack tightly with the "grain" running in the same direction, thereby enhancing its durability. Infill is only used on the end mounts.
