(Another) Parametric 3 Drawer Box
thingiverse
Based in "Parts Tray Drawer" by FatalError3141 [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:398548] and "Customizable drawer box with hex pattern sides" by gpvillamil [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:421886], this is my initial attempt at a customizable drawers box. Designed with printing speed in mind, it's written in OpenSCAD and its main goal is to be fully parametric so you can define separately the main size of the box, the wall thickness (in case you want to print it with only one perimeter to improve speed), the bottom thickness, and the tolerance between parts. It includes four different types of drawers in the same .scad file, with one to four divisions that dynamically adapt to the main box size. It's designed to be printed without supports. It can also be printed without rafts. With a thickness parameter defined at 0.6mm, it can be printed in about one hour and fifty-seven minutes (Cura parameters: layer=0.3mm, Shell=0.4mm, Bottom thickness=1mm, Fill=10%, Speed=65mm/s). Update [20 jan]: I printed the drawer box today with only one shell. I included a photo of the model. It took one hour and thirty-six minutes using these settings in Cura: Nozzle = 0.4mm Resolution = 0.3mm Shell = 0.4mm Bottom/top thickness = 1mm Infill = 0% Speed = 85mm/s Print Settings Printer Brand: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: This design can be printed in multiple resolutions without supports, and depending on the OpenSCAD thickness parameter, it can be printed from one perimeter, thus improving printing speed. It can also be printed without infill.
