This simpler design may be easier to print compared to the arched version. It accommodates eight LEDs and is secured by four screws that hold the X-axis rail in place; no additional lengthy screws are required. The recesses for nuts are deeply set, ensuring a snug fit. Dale For successful printing, employ Simplify3D Creator with auto support generation on a 0.5 mm grid and 0.5 mm separation to facilitate easy removal of support structures around screw holes. To wire the LEDs, create two series strings of four LEDs each, incorporating a 240 ohm 1/2 watt resistor in series per string (resulting in approximately 20 mA per string). Power these strings using the 19V supply and connect the wires to the 4-pin block connected to the RAMBo board without the need for batteries. Dale's design is printed in black PLA, providing a sleek appearance that complements his black M2 printer.
