This is not so much a remix, but ant82's remix (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2089542) is where I started and used it as a guide. This model is larger and assembles in an entirely different manner. It also uses a spring loaded shuttle to hold the shaft in the extended and collapsed positions.

Assembled this is 337.86mm before it is extended. The longest single part is the Upper Body which is 195mm long.

TinkerCAD model if you want to make adjustments: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/71kvCYmMxr5

Design goals:

Minimal non-printed hardware

Print all parts vertically with limited supports

Ease of assembly/minimal glue

Stays open or closed regardless of (non-excessive) movement.

Multi-material handle so no painting is required if using a MMU or Palette Required Hardware:

1 300mm long, 20mm OD, 15mm ID tube

example

1 20mm M5.08 socket head screw

example

1 M5 nut

example

1 7/32" x 11/16" compression spring

1 drop of thread locker Printing notes:

Print 2 copies of Nipple

These notes are based on printing with a Prusa MK3S. Warnings:

Don't really hit people with it.

It's a prop, it likely won't hold up to really hitting anything.

Don't open the baton by swinging it. The nipples in the shuttle aren't likely to hold that well.
