I upgraded my Geiger counter kit from Alibaba with a few clever modifications. The original setup included a Geiger Muller tube, which I swapped out for an SBM-20 model to improve its sensitivity and accuracy. To connect the device to my smartphone, I added an ESP8266 microcontroller, giving me real-time readings on a digital screen. For visual feedback, I also attached an analog gauge that displays the radiation levels in a more intuitive way.
