I planned for the filament to flow into the bottle from underneath and emerge through the top opening. In case the filament approaches at an angle, there's a small ledge inside the lower opening that helps guide it in. The lid features a generous opening big enough to fit a PTFE tube, which is useful if you're running a Bowden-style extruder setup.
