Another Fidget Cube

Another Fidget Cube

This is my personal attempt at crafting a "fidget widget". It's primarily for my own practice with 3d cad tools. While not an exact replica, I drew inspiration from the many impressive fidget widgets on thingiverse. I print this model without using supports. It should remain intact when you try to release the joints. Please carefully read the printing instructions for optimal results. Print Settings Printer: Hatchbox Alpha Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 33% (use a higher percentage for a heavier feel) Notes: I print this model flat with four joints facing upwards. I have updated the design slightly so that 33% infill, at 0.2mm resolution, prints without any risk of broken joints when releasing the cubes for the first time. I use a zig-zag infill pattern which looks great with semi-transparent or glow-in-the-dark filaments. Print temperature is 195c, and I heat the bed to 60C only for the very first layer. This provides excellent adhesion without causing layer curling issues later on. Having a heated bed for all layers can result in failed prints due to uneven cooling while printing the curved edges on the bottom layers. Note: Cura seems to have trouble slicing this design. It tends to merge the hinges in some areas. Slic3r and Simplify3D, however, slice it correctly.
