Another Anet A8 Filament Guide
thingiverse
Yep, yet another filament guide design for the Anet A8. This one fits neatly behind the top support, replacing two of the seven-millimeter spacers used to hold the LCD in place. Specifically designed for the Anet A8, this guide may not work as well on similar printers like the TronXY p802 or other Anet options such as the A6. Currently, I have my filament holder set up behind my printer on the same tabletop, which made me want a guide that keeps the filament over the build area and prevents it from slipping over the top bracket. This unobtrusive guide is solid and works great for this application. There are two options available - one with a solid loop and another with a slot for feeding the filament through. The slot was sized specifically for 1.75-millimeter filament, but I'm not sure if three-millimeter filament can be squeezed through. 7/21/2017 Update: A version of this filament guide has been designed to fit the Anet A6. Find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2446606 3/3/2018 Update: It appears that the Anet A8's frame underwent a minor redesign recently, so I've added a V2 version of these filament guides that should fit the new frame. One way to determine if your A8 frame needs the original or V2 guide is by measuring from the center of the top mounting hole to the left edge of the display frame (or right edge if you're printing this mirrored). If the measurement is 10mm, print up the original version. If it's 12mm, go with the V2 instead.
