Annular Pancreas with Chronic Pancreatitis

A previously treated patient returns for further examination. The same model was referenced in a previous instance (https://sketchfab.com/models/76c99a2952c34a1fa9182987235ba717).\nAn almost 4-year-old girl received a diagnosis of annular pancreas with duodenal obstruction after her birth and underwent duodenoduodenostomy surgery during the neonatal period. She has since experienced recurring severe pancreatitis over the past six months. An MRCP procedure was performed, revealing the main pancreatic duct showing progressive dilatation along with a possible small filling defect at the pancreatic head segment, measuring 0.6cm in diameter. It is uncertain whether this represents a small stone or not. The ventral duct encircles the second portion of the duodenum. Another fluid collection was identified adjacent to the pancreatic head, connecting it to the duodenal loop. This could indicate dilation of either the first or proximal part of the duodenum. 43510732
