Annular Cooling for Ultimaker

Annular Cooling for Ultimaker

thingiverse

This replacement annular cooling is for the Ultimaker nozzle, as the original cooling shroud can sometimes be counterproductive due to its unidirectional nature that may lift the first layer during printing on a raft. The new design aims at the printed object from all directions, preventing any possible lift. Secure under the fan, it avoids contact with hot aluminum plate. Print all parts flat, needing 2x M3x20mm bolts, 2x M3 nuts, and 2x M3 PCB spacers. Align notches, glue with super glue, file bolt holes, adjust heating block, slide assembly under fan, retighten long screws, secure with spacers and bolts. Photos of first iteration without notches are attached, and it has worked for over 5 hours without issue. STEP and Autodesk Inventor files included in ZIP file. Enjoy!
