A 13.3-centimeter-tall tarsometatarsus or ankle bone from Mantell's moa (Pachyornis geranoides) is part of the University of Auckland Geological Collections, identified as Specimen AU 4028.173. It's worth noting that this bone is mislabelled as Pachyornis mappini, a species later recognised as synonymous with Pachyornis geranoides by Worthy in 2005.
