In this finely crafted wooden stele, SA-Amon's son Ankh-auf-mut is clearly identified through the hieroglyphs above him as a worthy successor to his father's esteemed position as priest of Amen. Ankh-auf-mut offers an array of vibrant flowers to Osiris, supreme ruler and unyielding judge of the underworld realm. Seated on a low chair, Osiris exudes authority as he wears the radiant sun-disk flanked by majestic ostrich plumes, while grasping the powerful flail and crook symbols of his unchallenged rule. An intricately crafted offering table laden with an assortment of precious gifts stands between these two regal figures. At the very top of this stele, the mighty scarab-beetle god Khepri proudly stands alongside adoring baboons who express their unwavering devotion.
