Animusoft Development UGV Mark 2 Designed to hold a Raspberry Pi B+, Arduino, Lipo 3s, 4 motors, Sabertooth ECS, Buck Converter, Power Switch, External USB Port(s), External HDMI Port, External Ethernet Port, XY Lidar, and a RPI Camera NoIR. We've successfully printed five of these vehicles so far using final STL files on a MakerBot 5th Gen with True Red PLA and True Black PLA for the wheels. The designs work great as intended. Brackets have been added to join the front and rear sections to the main base, but we recommend modifying them only for printing specific numbers for each use case. A total of eight brackets are used - four at the front, four at the rear. To finalize this project, refining the RPI NoIR camera mount is a priority. The XY Lidar's current attachment could also benefit from some adjustments to create holes directly in place for its proper fitting and better mounting methods need to be explored instead of relying solely on gravity. The UGV is not designed for fast movements or traversing different terrains. The possibility of modifying the base for an easy swap out feature without having to physically mount each component has been proposed - a 'clip-in' approach for boards such as Arduino and Sabertooth ECS to improve modularity.
