She had a blast bringing the dress and accessories to life, and was really hoping he would love them! The creative process started with sketching out the overall shape using polygonal modeling, after which she set about crafting every element, from the original design right down to the accessories, all inspired by various sources along the way. The next crucial step involved rigging the entire figure: the person herself, her hair, dress and all attached objects, in order to create a dynamic pose that popped off the page. After getting everything just so, she imported it into Zbrush for sculpting and adding extra details. She'd managed to pack an impressive amount of detail into this sculpt without compromising its overall performance - or at least not sacrificing any tiny features that could easily break the entire piece. Originally envisioned at 5.1 x 5.1 inches tall @16cm, she made sure it was optimized to print at smaller sizes if need be. Zbrush and VRML files are right here for your perusal - everything from the original file down to a version with no colors whatsoever is included!
