03/16/16 This piece focuses on my Animatronic Osprey project. For further information, refer to the associated model. The gearbox setup used to test the flapping motion is available for download and is described in this document. Videos illustrating the idea development process (for the final model) can be found in the "How I designed this" section, while demonstrative videos are located in the "post-printing" section. This model was printed on a Makerbot 2nd gen with PLA at a 0.2mm layer height and honeycomb infill. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Honeycomb (Unknown) Notes: As an inexperienced user, a raft is probably not necessary for most prints.
