I have my son to thank for this dinosaur skull that sings "Jingle Bells." This project was his idea, and it's now a reality thanks to his inspiration. The lower jaw is controlled by a servo motor mounted in the base. Check out the video below to see the skull in action singing "Jingle Bells" like a pro! You can find it here: http://youtu.be/Z-ojvIRqI_Q To achieve this effect, I first sanded down the surface of the dinosaur skull using acetone. Then, I connected the pieces together and secured them with rubber bands. I took scrap ABS plastic pieces and dissolved them in a jar filled with acetone overnight. After that, I mixed it with glow-in-the-dark pigment, creating a one-of-a-kind bone-like texture. Once the mixture had dried, I carefully cut the lower jaw from the upper piece using fine sandpaper. Then, I used oil paints to give it a wooden look and finished it off by adding some spray lacquer for shine. The next step involved creating the bottom box by connecting the pieces with acetone. After that, I connected wires to the pivot point on the jaw (check out this picture: . After that, I attached the stand's skull mount to the underside of the upper skull and connected the two lower jaw pivot points. The last thing left to do was assemble the rest of the stand. To get started, push the bottom part of the stand through the hole at the base of the box. Now, take a servo motor and attach it to the underside of the box - then connect the wires from the motor to the corresponding spots on the box. The resulting dinosaur skull is nothing short of incredible. With the press of a button, it'll start singing "Jingle Bells" like nobody's business. My son will be thrilled!
