Animated Chain
sketchfab
A detailed chain rigged and animated with low poly style in Blender takes shape. While it's relatively simple to animate a chain in Blender, there is one significant challenge when importing into Sketchfab: empties are not supported. This can make it tricky to showcase certain animations that rely on empties, such as those driven by paths or more complex movements like chain animations. To overcome this hurdle, I employed a trial-and-error approach, making several attempts before successfully using a path with empties attached to it and bones linking the two - ultimately resulting in a working animation in Sketchfab. Additionally, baking the animation prior to import was necessary for optimal results.
