This tool can be used for any age, but it's specifically designed with elementary school students in mind. This particular educational aid is not currently available for purchase, but a similar one costs around $30 (link provided). However, printing it yourself using a printer and filament would save you money. It takes roughly 12 meters of filament to print a scaled version of this project (45% scaled), which is only about 4% of the total length of a roll. To give you an idea of the cost savings, if you have a printer and filament on hand, printing this project would be much cheaper than buying it. For example, using current prices for 1.75mm PLA filament from Matterhackers, the cost of printing this project (excluding animals) would be around $0.80, which is just 4% of $20.
