Angry Halloween Skull
thingiverse
I was asked to create a highly detailed Skull model from a scanner my friend found at his house. We used a Leica laser scanner that we had access to back in university. The alignment, cleanup and meshing process was carried out on Polyworks with great care. The rendered 3D model was incredibly intricate given the resolution of the scanner, showcasing its capabilities. I decided to print the final .obj file using my Ender3 to test its limits. To my surprise, the results were remarkably good. What impressed me most was the level of detail in the nose and eye-sockets area. Several people suggested that this model would make a great Halloween print, and I agree wholeheartedly. If your printer can produce similar or even better results than mine did, please share them with the community. I'm eager to see how others bring this Skull model to life!
