A 3D model reveals the intricate details of an enamel crown surface as seen in a CT scan of an Anglo-Saxon lower left central incisor belonging to a young male from the ancient site of Great Chesterford, Essex. This exceptional specimen is currently preserved and studied at the Osteological Laboratory within the University of Southampton. Cutting-edge tomographic imaging facilities were generously provided by the µ-VIS centre at the University of Southampton, with funding support secured through an EPSRC grant EP-H01506X.
