Angled Oven Hood Vent Guard
thingiverse
This is a cover for the outside vent cover for an oven hood. It was created in order to prevent birds and other critters from getting in. It has an angled and built-up outside (front) edge because the round vent cover extends down below it when fully open. Without this, this hood vent would not open fully. All edges have a thin slit that allows the aluminum edges of the vent cover to fit in tightly without the need for screws or glue. This object was made in Tinkercad. Edit it online at: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kHBrOuJx2Fu Note that the front edge is 1/4" wider (8") than the rear edge (7 - 3/4") to match the shape of my particular vent cover. Sliced with Cura 5.3 using the following parameters: Using phnxdrgn536's FLSun-v400 printer profiles, starting with normal - 0.15mm layer height Line width: .4mm Wall thickness: .8mm Bottom layers: 10 (which encompasses the hexagonal grate) Infill density: 40.0% Infill pattern: Grid Printing temperature: 200°C Bed temperature: 60°C Initial layer speed: 50mm/s Number of slower layers: 4 Build plate adhesion type: Skirt (1 line) Enable Retraction: true (with all defaults except Combing mode: Not in Skin)
