Angled hex spool holder
thingiverse
This is an angled spool holder I designed for mounting to the top of a strap door enclosure, similar to the popular Ikea Lack table enclosure used on Prusa printers like this one: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/mmu2s-printer-enclosure/\r\n\r\nI use 22mm bearings with an 8mm shaft that is 120mm long for each spool holder. The spool holder can be securely fastened to a table using wood screws, thanks to its design. I may revisit this project and create another iteration that incorporates machine screws with allen keys as an alternative option. All the hardware needed, except for the wood screws, comes with the Prusa MMU2, which I'm repurposing to replace the subpar 'dyno' style spool holders it includes, which are flimsy, can't be screwed down, and most importantly, cannot be tilted.\r\n\r\nI added these spool inserts because I wanted the spool holder to remain relatively low in height and prevent the spool from dragging on its base without them: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:426265/\r\n\r\nPETG with a 50% infill is my recommended choice.
