Angled EzStruder (Cold End) Holders for Rostock Max V2
thingiverse
This is a custom-designed dual extruder holder made specifically for the SeeMeCNC Rostock Max V2 delta 3D printer. It securely holds two SeeMeCNC EzStruder direct drive bowden tube extruders, which are expertly positioned to reroute both filament paths through a central hole. The design features an integrated wire guide that skillfully brings all the wiring out behind the holder assembly, adding an extra layer of organization and tidiness. The holder utilizes existing top plate holes typically used for extruder holders and cleverly angles the bowden tubes away from the towers to prevent accidental collisions with the carriages. The extruders are intentionally offset so that both filament paths followed by the extruders are perfectly symmetrical, creating a clean and efficient printing setup. For those looking to further customize their printing experience, the OpenSCAD files and support files used to create this project can be found on github, offering optional settings such as manual rafts and anchors to ensure successful prints. Print enthusiasts will find that all parts were successfully printed using ABS on a Rostock printer. Notably, the filament guide requires supports for successful printing, while larger pieces offer optional corner tabs that help hold them in place when printing is underway.
