Angled Ear Saver Stack

Angled Ear Saver Stack

This is an 8 stack of a modified ear saver. A slight bevel cut has been added in the center so that a paint scraper can be pushed in to help make separation easier. The use of gloves is recommended when separating the stack.

Versions:
-Single modified ear saver for stacking
-Stack for mk3s, 0.3mm layer height

A stack takes about 2 hours. 6 stacks fills a build plate and takes about 12 hours.

I tend to print stacks with very slow print speeds (30mm/s for all print moves) and 10% infill using PLA. This print went okay with normal print speeds but the backs were a bit messier. No supports. Sliced using PrusaSlic3r 2.0.0 (an older version) with no issues. Newer versions may have some problems.

If you have an original source for the modified file, please let me know so I can link it. I had this stl shared with me.

Print instructions

-I print with PLA.
-Layer height 0.3
-Make sure the version that you use matches the layer height you slice with so that there are the appropriate gaps to allow it to break apart.
-Slow print speeds, I generally use 30mm/s or slower for all print moves in a stacked print but this one does okay with normal print speeds if you are fine with a messier back
-No supports
-Sliced using PrusaSlic3r 2.0.0 (an older version) with no issues. Newer versions may have some problems.
