Angle of Incidence Meter for Hydrofoils and RC-Planes
thingiverse
This is a simple tool to measure the angle of incidence between the main wing and the elevator of a hydrofoil or a RC-plane. Parts list: - steel bar 15mm x 2mm, length depending on your wings approx. 250mm - digital inclinometer, for example https://de.aliexpress.com/item/33031500544.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.5fb04c4d7RfMg1 - empty steel can If you have a steel bar with a different cross section, you can adapt the cutout in the parts with the attached Fusion360 files. The inclinometer has magnets at the bottom. Therefore you can cut out two metal stripes of an empty can and glue them to the support. Now the inclinometer will be magnetically hold in place on the support. To get the angle of incidence, fix the tool to one wing, set the inclinometer to zero and then measure the angle at the other wing. Now you can start tuning your foil.......
