Angle Adapter for Auger Assisted Hopper
thingiverse
I don't recommend using this part, so I've removed the remix link back to the hopper (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4386326). This design was initially created as a work in progress because it adds more horizontal distance for material to be pushed along, but unfortunately, it doesn't work as well as I had hoped. The short side is particularly weak. Since I pulled all the electronics out into a separate box and no longer need this angle adapter to access the Filastruder controls, I've stopped using this part altogether. The hopper didn't fit on my Filastruder for some unknown reason - it was simply too close to the casing. To fix this issue, I wanted to move the hopper to the side a bit, so that the temperature control panel would be unobstructed. Therefore, I designed this part to go between the hopper main body and the back clamp part. One beneficial aspect of this design is that it's now possible to remove the main body while leaving the clamp in place. Currently, the model features holes small enough to hold M3 screws, but getting the exact right length that will work on the short side can be a challenge because they tend to interfere with each other. I'll take another look at strengthening this area, but it might remain as is if it functions reliably during operation. Update 6/13 - A v2 model has been added, featuring pockets for square nuts.
