I'm honored to share my artistic rendition of the Angkor Table Collection by Olivier Dollé, brought to life through a meticulous recreation using 3ds Max. Drawing inspiration from the designer's original work, I infused it with my own unique vision and perspective. My model is characterized by streamlined geometry, focusing on simple rectangular shapes that give the table an elegant, understated appearance. The minimized amount of geometry makes the design remarkably clean, except for one standout feature: the intricate details of the drawer handle. Material Description: The 3ds Max model boasts two distinct materials that complement each other beautifully. One is a rich, dark wood texture that covers the majority of the piece, creating a sophisticated backdrop. In stark contrast, one leg and strategically placed inserts are rendered in smooth, polished light-colored wood, echoing the curves of tree branches. Functional Details: This exquisite design features a single drawer crafted from the same lustrous light wood as its counterpart, while the handle stands out for its sturdy wooden structure finished in dark, rich wood. Every detail is meticulously scaled, with all wooden elements precisely set at 15 mm in thickness. Dimensions: This magnificent table measures an impressive 500mm deep x 1000mm wide x 760mm high, its presence dominating any room. And what's more striking is that the handle protrudes forward by a precise 20 mm, inviting hands to grasp and touch its sleek, polished surface. Technical Specifications: My model was meticulously crafted using the latest edition of 3ds Max – 2020, ensuring precision and realism. Rendering was done using V-Ray 4.10.03, delivering breathtaking images that perfectly capture the beauty of this piece.
