I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my Einscan-S 3D scanner, and I just got a sneak peek at a scan that's got me really excited. The individual who did it allowed me to fiddle with it in some basic editing software before sending it off for 3D printing. I quickly spotted the imperfection on the base – a nasty dent that needed attention. With a few quick tweaks using plane cut and orientation, I was able to smooth it out. Meanwhile, I employed MeshMixer to subtly add details and create new shapes. Impressed by what this scanner can do!
