Completed in 1998, this steel sculpture is an angelic figure, towering at 20 meters (66 feet) tall, with expansive wings spanning 54 meters (177 feet) wide. The wings are strategically angled 3.5 degrees forward to evoke a sense of embracing warmth, according to Gormley's creative vision. Inspired by his own physique, the angel is crafted from a cast of Gormley's body, reflecting the artist's signature style.
