Hello, I'd like to introduce you to my 3D printable molds for crafting VAWT wind turbine blades. The central woman images are printed first, followed by the outer layers that will be transformed into a silicone rubber mold. A small amount of molding plasticine is packed into the center of each image, allowing it to release easily once the silicone mold has set. Once dry, I remove the plasticine and pour a custom-mixed polyurethane quick-dry plastic casting into the mold. The inside of the blade will be transparent around the images, while the outer casts will be cast in clear plastic for added durability. To make these pieces easier to work with, I've split the outer casts into two separate molds. Finally, the outside bracket that holds the blades in place will fit snugly within the inner diameter of the outer casts after the plastic has set.
