The corbel is one of eighteen that support the centre nave aisle roof beams. An angel bearing a heraldic shield is depicted on this corbel, and it's believed to date back to the C15th rebuilding of the clerestory. Restoration work in the 1970s included adding the London Chamber of Commerce arms (Ratcliffe 2012).
