Rochester Cathedral's west facade corbel north of the Great West Door showcases an emblematic depiction of Saint Matthew, inspired by the 1160s Great West Door tympanum. This 1883 replacement, crafted during James L. Pearson's restoration, embodies the Angel/Winged Man symbol associated with the saint.
