Anet N4 Z Axis mod

Work in progress. I'm currently working on improvements for the Anet N4 DLP printer, and this is just the beginning of many upgrades to come. STL Notes Bracket final is the spacer for the bearing mount. This MUST BE 3MM OR MORE! 3MM TO 3.5MM. If you'd like a bit more room, simply scale up the Z axis until you get 3.5mm. Anet N4 Acme nut: I've designed this part with four nuts in total to provide extra security while installing them. This way, if one nut cracks during installation, you'll still have three remaining nuts to secure your printer. Rev 1.0 single is a standard Rev 1.0 nut, but I've made it a single part for easier printing. Rev 1.1 is an updated version of the nut with threads clocked at 45 degrees. This part is clearly marked as Rev 1.1 on the print itself. This upgrade aims to improve the Z axis on the Anet N4 by eliminating the play caused by insufficient support. Items Required 4X M3X12mm screws Printed Acme Nut Printed or machined spacer I'm currently using a machined spacer in the photos, but you can use either a printed or machined one based on your preference. Notes The Acme nut must be properly "timed" to ensure it's tight against the Z axis. If not done correctly, the nut may crack during installation. Step 1: Print the required parts. The pictures shown are from a print of the 4-pack nut. Step 2: Remove the four screws that hold the bearing mount for the Z axis. Step 3: Raise the Z axis so that the acme rod is just below the head, allowing the nut to sit flush. Step 4: Switch to .1mm movement and apply gentle pressure on the nut while moving the Z axis down. If it feels tight or starts cracking, reverse direction, turn the nut by one-quarter turn, and try again. I'll add an index mark to a future revision of this mod for easier installation. In case the top of the nut cracks off during installation, it's still usable – I used it to print the working ones. Step 5: Reinstall the bearing mount with the spacer underneath, raising the bearing mount up. Secure it using longer 13mm M3 screws. I've tested this setup with a 3mm spacer and the provided nut after a print, and there's still some clearance. Make sure to use a spacer that's at least 3MM in thickness! You can safely go up to 3.5mm for this upgrade.
