To minimize the noise produced by this printer, I created a custom filament guide. The annoying whine that occurred when the filament passed through the sensor is now largely eliminated. I employed a 1 1/8-inch external diameter and 1/2-inch internal diameter bearing in my design, and it functions exceptionally well.
