Anet E12 Extruder Carriage Shroud

This is a remix of a very nice x-axis carriage replacement I found. I've made some key differences over the original. * Layer fan duct and nozzle lowered 3mm to blow closer to my nozzle tip * Reduced the size of the wiring for the layer fan to a 3x3mm hole (leaks less air) * Tucked the hole into the corner to stay away from the fan blades * Made a larger opening to the right of the hotend heatsink to allow better cooling * Dropped the arc that goes around the throat tube by 4mm to close the gap * Added some 45 degree angles to eliminate the need for excess supports * Eliminated the mounting holes for the layer fan (to allow for different sizes to be used) * Cleaned up some of the surfaces to make the print smoother * Rounded some of the corners a little better * Cleaned up the holes for the two mounting bolts and the 4 hotend fan screws The "Complete with Hole" has the layer fan wiring as a hole you have to feed through and solder on the other side. The "Complete with Notch" has a slide on the right side for the layer fan that you just slip the existing wire into before you mount the fan, no soldering or anything required (small air leak, but nothing exciting). You will want to print this in ABS. As close as this gets to the nozzle and heater block, if you print in PLA, you're going to know it, as it'll melt right to the block. Use a drill bit of the appropriate size to mark and drill the holes for the fan you want to use for the layer fan. Route the wire for the layer fan through the hole in the back, and then attach the fan. =============================================================== If you'd like to support my work, or buy me a Monster (I don't drink alcohol or beer), you can head over to my Patreon Page: www.patreon.com/m1dn1ghtn1nj4 A portion of every month's earnings goes to a charity chosen at the end of the month.
