5-5-20 Creating individual components for each phase of the build process. Here's what I've accomplished so far. Send me a message if you'd like to see any of these printed out. My setup includes an Ender 3 with an upgraded hotend and bed, as well as temperature-controlled enclosure. I typically create these items using ABS, PETG, or Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate. Fastener and hardware kits are also available. 2040 Frame Bracket Kit https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4335413 Control Panel, Mosfet, TL Smoother Brackets https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4314366 LCD Screen Holder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3385997 Update 4-26 After some tinkering, I'm redesigning the entire thing from scratch. Some sizes need adjustments, and I'm posting each individual part as a separate item to keep the files organized. I've removed the parts that require changes and will repost them once they're fixed. I'm working on an instructional video in Fusion 360 covering the whole design process. Update 4-5-2020 I've been experimenting with some of the parts and made a few modifications. Both sides of the X/Z rails are now one piece, and I've flipped around the Y axis tensioner. I'll leave up the working parts for this version and release new ones in sections to make it easier to work with. So far, I've designed 47 pieces. 4-1-2020 I was going to wait until I finished before releasing the name, but there you have it. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing, right? That's what's happening here. I'm pushing this machine to its limits! Here's a list of what I plan to do with this: Dual micro Swiss extruders StepperOnline motors SKR 1.3 motherboard Three mosfets End stops on both sides 24V power supply Temperature-controlled enclosure Anti-backlash lead screws with extra bearings on top MGN12 rails Creality 235x235mm bed upgrade (original bed will fit too) The only thing that makes this based on the AM8 is... the 2040 rail lengths. So, it's compatible with the A8 stock parts using the AM8 machine profile with maybe a few small adjustments. I'll post everything as I get it done. These parts are designed for use with 2040 aluminum extrusions and MGN12x350mm linear rails. The length of the extrusions is: three pieces at 313mm, two pieces at 340mm, and two pieces at 440mm. Here's a good order to print the parts for assembly: Underneath Corners Underneath Sides Front Left bottom works for the back right, and mirror for the front right and back left Bed Mounts Z Motor Mounts Top inside corners X Carrier New extruder lever X/Z mounts At this point, your entire frame should be assembled. That's where I'm at now. Just a few notes from my end – I'll go back and edit this whole thing with an easier workflow once I'm finished. Hopefully, that will be in the next week. Send me a message if you have any questions. Thanks!
