I'm tightening down the brackets that secure the lead screw bosses with frame screws, ensuring they register properly. These brackets fix the z-axis rails at the top corners of the machine, allowing the tops of the lead screws to move axially freely, accommodating any run-out present. I've also designed a z-stop, linked here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2104821, which secures the left z-axis rail at the bottom, addressing the sloppiness that plagued my machine's movement.
