ANET A8 Z anti-twist exoskeleton
thingiverse
Vibrations and woobling are a major concern on the ANET A8. I've already designed and printed some highly effective mods on my own printer, but I discovered that the two vertical Z plates are surprisingly flimsy and may twist under vibrations, causing motions in Y of the whole X carriage. This simple mod adds the required torsion rigidity that was missing. Check out the video to get an idea of its efficiency! (https://youtu.be/-Q838e6AOHo) Just like on my other two exoskeletons, this mod uses a 6mm carbon fiber tube - you can also use a steel or aluminium rod if you prefer. The rod is held firmly in place when tightening the mounting screws. This is a quick and easy 15-minute mod that can greatly improve your printer. Give it a try!
