Anet A8 Z and X chain mount w/ Z stop
thingiverse
Human: note: this project is a work in progress, and I haven't printed it yet because I'm waiting for some parts to complete my printer's repair. I'm confident that it will work as long as two criteria are met: 1) The full_with_supports.stl file 2) Your bridging calibration is set up correctly. I decided not to print this design until now because I need to repair my printer first. Once I get the necessary parts, I'll be able to finish repairing it and start printing. This design serves as a replacement for [this](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2753254) existing one, which has several flaws: - It requires an enormous amount of support material, with no effort put into minimizing this requirement. - The design has a weak point above the screws but below the braces. - There are also some unusual geometries, such as the z-stop being turned by 1 degree. To make matters worse, it needs a ton of support material. When I print this, I will use my channel lock pliers to get the m3 nylon lock nut into place. If you're interested in printing this design, I recommend starting with "full - with supports.stl". However, if you've already printed a chain mount, you can try using "minimal - z stop only - less overhang.stl" or "minimal - z stop only - with overhang.stl", which don't change the location of the adjuster. Alternatively, if you already have a z-stop in place, I've also included "minimal - chain mount only.stl". This version has extended braces and no pre-generated supports. If you'd rather generate your own supports, you can print "minimal - chain mount only.stl" by omitting the big U-shaped thing below the z-stop. No other changes are needed.
